The activity begins with pickup at your hotel or at our company office, located 100 meters north of the Fortuna Police Station. Then, we will travel in a modern, comfortable, air-conditioned bus for 45 minutes to the Balsa River.
Upon arriving at the Balsa River, we will equip you with the necessary gear (life jacket, helmet, and paddle). Additionally, we will provide a complete safety briefing so you can enjoy a safe experience. Our guides are bilingual, certified, and have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
After the briefing, we will practice a bit and begin the descent of the rapids, which lasts 2 hours, covering a stretch of 10 kilometers with an average of 25 rapids, filled with fun waves and big splashes. Along the way, we stop to enjoy seasonal fruits such as pineapples, watermelons, or mangoes, and to rest in a pleasant spot by the river.
During the trip, you can observe a variety of wildlife, as well as wonderful scenes of dense vegetation and landscapes; moreover, the water temperature is perfect for swimming.
At the end of the tour, we will be waiting for you with the bus, water, and towels, to then return to La Fortuna, where we offer you a delicious traditional lunch and coffee; you will also be able to see the fun photographs of yourself in the rapids.
